For two years, Laura ran a large Dog Program at an animal shelter in Austin Texas. In 2022, she published her second novel, Not Just a Dog. In the same year, she released her first podcast, Rescued By a Dog, where she shares stories about dogs who have actually saved their owners lives. Before that, in 2020, she published a children's book, Detective Barksalot and the Dogs With No Names. When she's not writing or hiking, she is finding ways to save more dogs.
